Turnley Collection
The Turnley Collection houses papers dating from 1763 to 1920. These papers document early East Tennessee history (folders 7-10), the daily and business lives of early Tennessee settlers (folders 13-18), Turnley family history (folders 25-26), and George Turnley's estate (folder 27).
Lawrence Wodehouse Illustrations for White of McKim, Mead and White
The Illustrations for White of McKim, Mead, and White collection spans the years 1764 to 1976 with the bulk of the material from 1890 to 1906. The collection consists of photographs and illustrations collected by former University of Tennessee Architecture professor Lawrence Wodehouse for his 1988 publication, White of McKim, Mead, and White.
Evelyn Scott Papers
The bulk of the collection contains correspondence between Evelyn Scott, her family, friends, and business associates written between 1948 and 1956. Also available are drafts of unpublished works including The Gravestones Wept and Evelyn Scott’s autobiography, Scott’s scrapbook, and a small collection of other personal papers.
Mills Family Bible
This Bible, published by Langdon Coffin of Boston, Massachusetts in 1831, belonged to the Mills family of Virginia and Tennessee. It contains family records for Robert and Mary Barbara (Sharp) Mills' children and the children of three unidentified women (possibly enslaved by Robert S. Mills) named Sary, Mary, and Dolley. Also included is a letter from Robert Mills to his son, Robert S. Mills, giving his children's birthdates and describing Abraham Mills' multiple attempts at bigamy.

Captain John Marshal Company Payroll
Gabriel Jones Last Will and Testament
This collection consists of the last will and testament of Gabriel Jones, dated September 3, 1776. The will divides up Jones' assets, including enslaved persons, land, and livestock, amongst his wife, his daughter from his first marriage, and his four children from his second marriage.
Mitchell Family Papers
This collection houses land deeds, correspondence, indentures, other legal documents, and photographs documenting four generations of the Mitchell family in Washington County, Tennessee.

This collection includes a collection of 106 autographs from prominent individuals (1782-1947) such as George Washington, Daniel Webster, Cornelius Vanderbilt, and Helen Keller to recognize a few. The autographs themselves are found on letters, portraits, and passports. News clippings and auction slips pertaining to the autographs have also been included.
Tennessee Documents Collection
This collection contains over 100 legal and government documents from the late 18th century through the late 19th century from across Tennessee. Included are court documents, warrants, bonds, indentures, receipts, bills, and more. Around half of the documents are from the Knox County area while the remaining represent counties and areas across the state.
Lenoir Family Papers
This collection houses financial papers, correspondence, land grants, and other materials documenting the Lenoir family of East Tennessee and North Carolina. These items describe the family's involvement with land in North Carolina and Tennessee, slavery, manufacturing, and the Confederate States of America.
Carriger, Lenoir, and Welcker Family Papers
This collection contains letters, land grants, financial papers, announcements, speeches, reports, and magazines documenting the Carriger, Lenoir, and Welcker families in Tennessee and North Carolina during the late 18th, 19th, and early 20th centuries.
George Barkley Bond Indenture
In this indenture document, Waightstile (usually spelled Waightstill) Avery, John Blair McMahon, and John Thomas of North Carolina indebt themselves jointly to George Barkley for the sum of 44 pounds. Additionally, Avery alone indebts himself to Barkley for 22 pounds.
